Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Inti Adventure Travel E.I.R.L, we specialize in designing highly exclusive, bespoke travel itineraries. Because the orchestration of premium travel experiences requires advanced curation, immediate operational outlays, and guaranteed bookings with elite strategic providers (luxury accommodations, domestic airlines, rail operators, and government institutions), the cancellation of contracted services is subject to strict financial penalties.
By securing your reservation with the corresponding deposit or prepayment, the client explicitly, unconditionally, and irrevocably accepts the terms and conditions set forth in this Cancellation and Refund Policy, which is strictly governed by the laws and statutory regulations of the Republic of Peru.

  1. 100% Non-Refundable Supplier Services
From the exact moment a booking deposit or prepayment is processed, Inti Adventure Travel E.I.R.L immediately commits funds to clear logistics and secure binding third-party reservations. Due to the rigid commercial structures of luxury suppliers and Peruvian state entities, the following items are 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-modifiable under any circumstance:
*Admission Tickets: Admission passes to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu and any archaeological circuits, historical landmarks, or museums managed by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture or COSITUC.
Rail Services: Train tickets operated by PeruRail, Inca Rail, or any other premium rail service providers across all service categories.
*Air Transportation: Domestic flight tickets within Peruvian territory.
*Hotels and Luxury Accommodations: High-end hospitality establishments enforce stringent allotment terms, requiring significant cash advances or 100% full upfront prepayments to guarantee specific room categories, seasonal rates, and availability. These outlays are entirely forfeited upon cancellation in compliance with individual hotel corporate policies.
*Private Transportation: Elite local transport networks require non-refundable operational advances to secure dedicated VIP vehicles, logistical permits, and private chauffeurs.
            1. Refund Scale Based on Notification Timelines
Should you decide to cancel your journey due to strictly personal or voluntary reasons, a formal written notice must be submitted to our concierge team at info@intiadventuretravel.com
Any allowable refund will be applied exclusively to the prepayment amount received, *first deducting the 100% non-refundable supplier services outlined in Section 1, according to the following timeline:
*Cancellations 60 days or more prior to the scheduled trip departure: The balance of the prepayment will be refunded, subject to a 10% penalty of the total deposit amount to cover concierge administrative management and custom itinerary design fees.
*Cancellations between 59 and 45 days prior to arrival: A penalty equivalent to 30% of the total prepayment amount will apply, in addition to the forfeiture of the 100% non-refundable supplier costs outlined in Section 1.
*Cancellations between 44 and 30 days prior to arrival: A penalty equivalent to 50% of the total prepayment amount will apply, in addition to the forfeiture of the 100% non-refundable supplier costs outlined in Section 1.
*Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival or No-Show: A 100% penalty of the prepayment will apply (total forfeiture of all deposit funds paid). No refunds or credits will be issued.
            1. Refund Execution Procedure and PayPal Processing Fees
In cases where a partial refund is contractually approved under the timeline windows specified in Section 2, the disbursement process will be governed by the following financial criteria:
Refund Channel: Refunds will be processed exclusively through the original payment method used for the initial transaction (PayPal).
Mandatory Deductions: All refunds are subject to mandatory deductions, including both receiving and reversing processing fees levied by PayPal, transaction percentages retained by card-issuing financial institutions, and losses incurred due to international currency exchange fluctuations. Inti Adventure Travel E.I.R.L will only disburse the net recoverable balance.
Processing Timelines: The standard processing window for refunded funds to reflect in the client’s account or card statement is between 15 to 30 business days, subject entirely to PayPal and individual banking institution processing timelines.
            1. Absolute Exclusion of Liability for Force Majeure, Public Disruption, and Health Conditions
Inti Adventure Travel E.I.R.L operates under an absolute exclusion of financial liability or refund obligations for cancellations, delays, or trip interruptions triggered by events beyond the direct execution control of the company. No monetary refunds, credits, or fee waivers will be granted under the following circumstances:
Political and Social Factors: Civil unrest, public demonstrations, labor strikes, agrarian blockades, or regional protests (which occasionally disrupt transit corridors across Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, and Machu Picchu).
Climatic and Environmental Factors: Torrential rains, landslides (huaicos), earthquakes, river swells, or sudden emergency suspensions of airport and rail operations ordered by state regulatory bodies or transit entities (e.g., PeruRail).
Passenger Health and Medical Incidents: Sudden illnesses, physical accidents, acute altitude sickness (soroche), or any medical conditions impacting the client that render them unable to begin or complete the scheduled tour.

⚠️ MANDATORY TRAVEL INSURANCE ADVISORY: Inti Adventure Travel E.I.R.L DOES NOT INCLUDE travel insurance, medical insurance, or trip cancellation protection of any kind within its travel portfolios. It is a mandatory and exclusive responsibility of the traveler to procure comprehensive international travel insurance in their country of origin. We strongly recommend securing a policy that features a “Cancel for Any Reason” (CFAR) clause. Any financial recovery or reimbursement arising from medical crises, force majeure events, or sudden personal cancellations must be filed and pursued directly by the passenger through their respective insurance underwriter.

            1. Settlement of Outstanding Balances in Cusco (Cash vs. Card)
The contract balance remaining after the initial reservation deposit must be fully settled upon arrival under the following binding financial criteria:
Cash Payments: The outstanding contract balance must be settled in full in physical cash (US Dollars or Peruvian Soles) on the first day of arrival in the city of Cusco. Billet banknotes must be in pristine condition, free of tears, markings, stamps, or extensive wear.
Credit or Debit Card Payments: Should the client choose to settle the outstanding balance using a credit or debit card upon arrival, a mandatory payment gateway processing surcharge (typically ranging between 4% and 5% additional over the total remaining balance) will be appended to the invoice. These processing fees are strictly pass-through financial taxes and are entirely distinct from the initial tour quotation.
            1. Legal Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
For any legal discrepancies, administrative reviews, contractual interpretations, or customer protection claims filed before INDECOPI, the client explicitly agrees to submit solely and exclusively to the territorial jurisdiction and competence of the courts of the city of Cusco, Republic of Peru, formally waiving any other legal forum or municipal jurisdiction that might correspond to them by reason of their present or future domiciles.
