We start the day by picking you up at the comfort of your hotel. We will enjoy the crisp morning air and tranquility with a brief introduction at the historic Plaza de Armas, the ancient heart of the empire.

Qorikancha: The Temple of the Sun

We will walk to Qorikancha, the most sacred temple of the Incas. You will marvel at the millimeter precision of its perfectly polished stone walls, upon which the Santo Domingo Convent rests today.

Sacsayhuaman: The Megalithic Fortress
Altitude: 3,700 m.a.s.l. (12,139 ft) | Distance: ~1.2 miles from the center

We board our private transport to ascend to Sacsayhuaman. Going in the morning allows us to enjoy this colossal construction of up to 100-ton blocks with much more peace and ideal lighting for photography.

Qenqo, Tambomachay & Puka Pukara
Max Altitude: 3,780 m.a.s.l. (12,401 ft)

We continue our ascent to explore Qenqo, an enigmatic underground ceremonial center. We then visit Tambomachay (the Inca water cult with intact fountains) and Puka Pukara, known as the “Red Fortress” that guarded the entrance to the capital.

Camelid Sanctuary & Boutique Museum
Altitude: ~3,600 m.a.s.l. (11,811 ft)

To add a unique value to your morning, we will visit a beautiful interpretation center. You will get up close with llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Furthermore, we will explore the Boutique Museum, where talented weavers from various Cusco communities exhibit and sell exclusive textile art pieces.

12:30 p.m. | Return to your Hotel in Cusco

Once the experience concludes, we will drop you off at your hotel door (or if you prefer, at the Plaza de Armas or a nearby restaurant) just in time for you to enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
